Seminar On Kashmir Held At Malaysia | KNO

Today in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, an academic activity and exhibition to create awareness about the human rights violations in Indian occupied Kashmir were Organized by an independent NGO for human rights called JUST.

The Seminar was attended by people from various walks of life including the academics, diplomats, members of civil society, etc. A number of Speakers highlighted the ongoing atrocities by the Indian occupation forces against innocent and helpless Kashmiris. Speakers highlighted the crimes committed against humanity and particularly blinding of kashmiri youth on mass scale. They condemned Indian barbarity and genocide of Kashmiris by its illegal forces and also questioned criminal silence of human rights defenders in Western countries, the UN, the US, UK, EU and OIC. The speakers as well as the audience called for imposing economic sanctions on India particularly by the Muslim countries and call the perpetrators to account. The Organizers undertook to create awareness on the plight of Kashmiris in IoK and demanded early implementation of UNSC and UNCIP Resolutions on Kashmir dispute. The Exhibition was based on the photographs provided by photographers from IoK. Today on this day of 6 January in 1993, Indian occupation forces massacred 57 unarmed civilian Kashmiris in Sopore. The dead included those who died of live ammunition firing and those who were burnt alive . Kashmiris observe this day to remind the international community .
